Earlier this year, Northwest celebrated its students’ outstanding behavior and commendable citizenship with a PBIS pep rally led by Coach Nick Anderson and members of the Kinston High School football team. The KHS players were selected to come speak to the students due to their exemplary actions on and off the football field.
During the assembly, the big, bad Vikings motivated the eager, young Eagles to keep up their efforts, attitudes, and grades throughout elementary school and on to middle school, high school, and college. Each teammate grabbed the mic to share a bit about them self and to encourage students to take their teachers and classes seriously. The football players left the stage with a memorably thunderous chant, pumping up the students and spreading some well-deserved, positive energy.
Following the rally, the football players were able to spend some time around the school signing autographs for the mesmerized students and reminiscing about their K-5 school days, many of which were spent at Northwest
